I was thinking about this the other day. Just wondering if anyone is and if it Piped ok. It looks like TJKJ's is Dual, but not sure if he has a header back setup or just a dual outlet. If anyone is what is there any noticable power gain or MPG too be had. The Magnaflow gave me a little gain in both departments, but I really want Duals. If anything for a better sound. |

You should run duals down the side, where your sliders are ![]() |

![]() they would just get crushed there. Yes TJKJ has a true dual, and I think KYLiberty does too. |

Now if you ran maybe 1 3/4 inch pipe all the way but if you used full 2.5 it would be down on power on take off/ low RPMs and never get any use out of it until running at 5500 RPMs all day |

I agree with Tom, if you run true duals on a smaller motor like that, you will lose alot of bottom end grunt. May see a slight horsepower jump way up in the rpm band, but I think you would really regret it. Get a really good flowing cat convt, good flowing muffler and just do dual tails out of muffler. That will wake up the 3.7 a bit, but you won't lose power like true duals would. |

No true dual setup here, never a KJ had one either, for a short time I ran dual outlets only. You'd be pretty hard pressed to fit true dauls under a KJ without exposing the pipes and such to major damage on the mildest of trails. To make true duals make power you will spend massive amounts of money from dyno time and redesigning the whole system to actually make power and make you loose power.Don't forget you will need a X-pipe added also to get equal power from each bank. Not to mention you would also need to add a fourth cat to make it legal and keep the check engine light off on a '02 KJ,not necessary newer KJ's with the 42RLE trans. |

I might try it anyway got some Dyno time coming up. I'll take pictures and post if I take the plunge. If The Stealership doesn't have to take it back by then Via Mr.Lawyer man. I'm thinking side exits with an X-Pipe. Not sure on mufflers |

I wouldn't recommend true duals. You'll probably spend a lot of money to make yourself unhappy. You won't have enough exhaust velocity and will lose low end torque. If you can get enough air and fuel through the motor (doubt it) you could gain a little high end horsepower. |

I always like dropping by the KJ 4x4 section -- it can be so informative. Now back to the topic of this thread.... |

Ok so I'm gonna pull off the Magnaflow AfterCat and add High flow Cats inra a dual Inlet Muffler with Dual Outlets and run it back from there if My Side Exit plan wont work, I gotta atleast try to make it go out the side. |
