Alright so i have a lift already from the previous owner but its a small one.I dont know what kind of lift or if the shocks or struts are aftermarket. The lower control arms are aftermarket for sure but that all i can tell i can post phots if needed. But i was wondering if i put the 2.5'' Daystar spacer lift would i have to put new shocks/struts on it?And how do you know if the shocks/struts are OEM or aftermarket? Thanks.

I would probably start with pictures so we can indentify what we recognise.

OEM struts

Front or rear lower control arms? There are no aftermarket front lower control arms, there is for the rear but ment for a TJ and you will loose the use of the rear swaybar(why it's there I have no idea,it doesn't do anything anyway).

Basically if the F/R struts/shocks are black with no type of stickers or marking's they are OEM.When lifting you will need longer rear shocks, the fronts are okay but I'd highly suggest to install new ones since the OEM stuff is worn out and will give a crappy ride and can cause unsafe/uncontrollable bouncing which can be fatal.
