| Post subject: | Replacement tranny pan |
My tranny pan has a few scrapes and it looks like a few rust spots but no leaks. I’m doing dropping the pan and changing out the fluid. I’d like to swap out the pan for one in much better condition if not for a new one. I checked my local junk yards and they don’t sell the pan only; they sell the transmission as one; which of course is understandable. I called the dealer and they wanted fifty some dollars. My question is has anyone changed their tranny pan? Where did you get it? How much did you pay for it? I have a 45RFE transmission. If there is one out their; I’m not interested in a $100+ after market tranny pan. |

Someone makes a larger capacity pan, but it won't fit stock skids. Not sure who. |

Holy crap they are proud of that pan. The factory one for the 42rle only ran me $11 each so I bought two. |

This is exactly what I’m going to do but was trying to find an inexpensive replacement. Thanks for your input guys. |

I'm in need of one too. Mine is rusted pretty bad. I didn't think $32 was bad for a brand new one. I'd be willing to bet you're not going to find a used one much cheaper. |
