Bolt-in spacer for a clevis lift?

I've been reading with interest about the clevis lift, but noted some comment about the new spacing slamming back closed if you hit a bump hard enough. There was also some discussion about putting a few large 'conduit washers' in there to protect against that.

I could have sworn I recently saw an ad in a Jeep parts catalog for a half inch thick [square section] ring, that is split into two halves (like two "C's"), and bolted together with two hex bolts. I didn't think it was specifically for this Liberty application. I've since tried to find it again, with no luck.

Is anyone familiar with such a device and who might be supplying it? It sounds like the perfect solution if the inside diameter is correct.

just go to a home depot and get a conduit nut. Not sure of size as I have not had a problem with my clevis lift and I have done some wild off roading. If you tighten the clevis enough you should be fine but to be on the safe side get the conduit nut.

i tried going to home depot to find conduit and everyone i talked to looked at me like i was insane. what do these things look like and where can i find them

Heres a link to a page on Lowes.com that should help: 2" Conduit Locknut I think this is the correct size, but you might want to read thru the postings to be sure. They should be located in the aisle with the electrical supplies (breaker boxes, flex conduit, etc)
