o.k. im sure this has been beat to death around here but, im going to ask anyway. i have the sky jacker 2.5 spacer lift now and im happy with it so far. rides a little rough so im thinking about an "upgrade". a couple of questions first. again im sure they hav been answered before but im not to savy with this electrical dohicky in front of me. 1. can i put hd springs on with a 2.5 spacer, if not 2.what all do i need to do an ome lift. please keep in mind money is somewhat of an issue here so the whole pre assembled frankenlift is not much of an option, but if thats the only way to go (pay to play) please be honest. by the way this is my first time posting and will try to get some pics of my kj on here, again im like a caveman with this thing. i'll have to get one of my "nerd" buddies to show me how soon. no offence. thanks and any input would be much appriciated. |

if you put an OME lift together yourself... its gonna run you about $650. you cant stack a 2" spacer, as it will lift it too much causing the CV shafts to bind. you need OME springs, struts and shocks (rancho is the most economic way to go, some even prefer them over OME) and a i beleive a set of daystar upper strut plates. |

More than like ly you can if they are longer than stock. need Rancho front shocks RSX 17505 OME HD 927s front OME HD rear 948 Teraflex bumpstops for the front hockey pucks will work great for bumpstops for the rear |

the compressed length of shocks for lifted KJs is about 15"-17"... just take a tape measure, and measure from eye to eye on your shock fully compressed. |

some people run 265-75s with some trimming as I assume you have already done . I have well over 2.5 inches of lift so since you are running a spacer lift now with stock springs you may gain a lot more than what you have now! |
