 Post subject: diff fluid

is it a good idea to change the frt and rr diff fluid after being stuck in some deep mud and water. i mainly worried about the rear, it was changed the day before i got stuck but i just wondering if water can seep in throught the cover

Check it through the fill hole. If it is milky looking after driving, you should change it. If it still looks fine, it probably is. Water shouldn't seep in that easy as there is a breather hose on the diffs that is mounted high and if it isn't leaking then it is probably sealed up well.

is there anyway to make sure the breather hose is not clogged or a way to clean it in general???

The breather hose is on the left axle tube and goes up from there, not sure where it goes. I think its on top of the gas tank?
