Well, I ordered a used trans with 10k today. when i get it I just have to replace the seals. pop her in there to get ole swampthg on the road again.. |

well a 42 came out of my jeep so i figured i should put the same back in. also i heard the 45's had problems |

and a reflash.. Is their a difference in length between the 42 & 45? If not then the DS would be same since it goes into the transfer case and not the trans. Also curious about adding the 45 to a late model. Would the computers know the difference or care? |

I thought there was enough of a difference that you would need a different tranny crossmember. Am I wrong? If it turns out to be easier than I thought than this tranny is not going to stay in place long. |

The 42RLE is a good transmission, maybe not the best, but it's a good transmission. I would recommend adding the TransGo Shift Kit. |
