I went with new coils, OME 790s front, Rustys rear, 3 isolators rear to even it all out. Ride is nice so far, off to Sedona this weekend to try and break something....

But of course as soon as my kids saw it finished... 'You need bigger tires!'...

I have 245/70/R16s, what is the debate on going to a 75/16 vs a 17 inch rim?

oh yeah, and how do you post pictures to this forum?? thx

easy answer first
have picture on a photo site - like Car Domain or Image Shack
right click on picture
scroll down to properties - open
copy address (http/ect ect.jpg)
go to edit post
click on Img
paste address
click on *Img
submit post
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=2349

and then tires
first - decide what you want to do
i.e. driving to/from work and offroad once a month - will have a different answer than off road trails every weekend.
in my case - I've gone to Moab twice - but it's 1200 highway miles to get there
the MTR's were okay on the road - awesome at Moab
the Kumho AT's were great on the road - okay at Moab

and in general -
tires for a 16" rim will be cheaper with more variety than 17"
tires for a 15" rim will be cheaper with more varitey than 16"

lots of opinions here

Wow, even after the lift is installed you mean 245/70R16 tires don't fill the wheel wells? You'll definately have to post some pics or at least point us to them.

mine looks exactly like timmyb457 posted 'finished my lift' back a few days ago (and he is smart enuff to get a picture in! :-) The 70's look kinda small, and since I have 35k+ on them, I am thinking of getting bigger.

ok, here we go. I am torn because I probably have ~ 5k miles left on the BFgs, although they are slipping in a good rain....

I think you can definately go bigger. I just found out today that you can get a BFG KM2 in a 255/70/16 That would look sick!!!

here is the finished deal, went with the BFG 245/75/16s, some rubbing on both the airdam and inner liner at full turn which I need to cut out. bottom line, the ride is nicer (drove 100+ freeway miles) then the factory, and the lift let me chase the infamous pink jeeps all over the sedona 'secret' trails like Broken Arrow, Soldier's Pass, etc. If anyone wants some scenic trails, these are the best! The tourists were impressed that I had a Liberty up there ('Dad, why can't we get our own Jeep?!?!?'), but many of them were bummed that I was chasing them down... :-) the guides were actually cool and were giving me pointers on other places to go.

Couple of new clunks to go chase down, but that is part of the game!!! Charleau Gap is next....

How do you put in bigger pictures??[/img]
