OK question for you lighting gurus.

I picked up some napa 55w lights to mount on my TJM bumper, didnt want anything to expensive or fancy.

But the question is can I splice thsoe into my fog lights so when i turn the fogs on they come on or do I need to wire a seperate hot to the battery?

thanks

The supply wire needs to be connected to the batt. The trigger wire can be connected to the fogs if you like, but the high beams is what is technically correct.

Have to remember that some states only allow so many lights to be at one time, say low beams and 2 driving lights, not 6 or 8

Well that's because the fog lights are supposed to increase visibility in fog and high beams decrease your visibility if fog.

i wouldn't mind the option of running my fog lights with the highbeams on too though

You want to put in some of those fancy IPF lights that are dual-function - fog beams and pencil beam driving lights switch back and forth. Then you'd have the best of both. Fogs don't add a lot of light except low and wide - your overhead lights will eclipse them pretty quickly.

when I hold the stick back it does both highs and fogs and there's a big big difference from just highs or low's with fogs

i'll have to look into those lights ya talkin bout

i have no problems adding switches on my dash :P
