i am planning on putting 31x10.50 15's on my 05, now i know that i would be good to go as far as not have any major issues with rubbing but i just dont want to fork out the $$$$$$$$$$ for a franky if i dont have to, with the straight OME piece it together yourself lift would i have issues with rubbing since i wouldn't gain quite as much lift??? thanks |

Which rims are you planning to use and what is the back spacing?, are you running an aftermarket front bumper ie ARB? As for the lift it self, the OME piece together will net you 2.5" to 3". My concern with rubbing will be the inside against the sway bar, and or the front outside of the wheel well depending mostly on your rim BS and whether the front of the wheel well remains stock, or has some trimming/removal. |

my front ome 927's and 3 conduits in the clevis put me right at 22.5" from center of hub to lip of fender flare with 235/70's on stock rims they still scrub the pinch weld and the spot where the access flap to the front turn signals and crap are but i'm also running wheel spacers which is probably what is allowing both of those rub points however with a heat gun and a hammer i'm fixing those 2 spots this weekend |

That's why I'm asking about the rims and the back space. I run 1.25" spidertrax as well, and with out the front of the wheel well cleared away via the ARB bumper I rubbed right at the fog light hatch, already had the pinch weld pounded or it would have been an issue. With out the 1.25" you will get rub on the sway bar, but again it depends on his rim choice and the back spacing. |

basically pretty much the same set up that incubusmike has is what i've been envisioning since i bought my jeep, i want some cragar steelies, probably some soft 8's, or D wndows with 4in. BS. 31X10.50 15's, right now i'm kinda leaning toward cooper discoverer ST, my dad had a set of them on his GMC and he loved them, i've already trimmed the front bumper, and i'll have to pound the pinch weld (no biggy) and i'm planning on trimming the bumper and fender wells pretty drastically, i dont want to put an ARB on, i know they are awesome but i just dont like the look of them quite as much as some of the other setups that some of you guys have, i know mike put a fabtech tj? i believe prerunner..ish bumper on i was thinking more along the lines of what JJsKJ did not quite like that but more so than an ARB, another option down the road is the detours backbone, i would ranther just build my own but i dont have a welder or a place to do it, its been a while since i welded but i used to weld back on the farm all the time, but anyways thats kinda the plan for now...........lift then wheels/tires then winch........if my wife doesn't throw to big of a fit. haha |

With the fender trimmed and the pinch weld hammered back you should be pretty good as far as rubbing goes with those rims. And a pieced together OME over Rancho lift will get you the height required. |

very few places actually stock the coils for the KJ. You can call Dirk at DPG Off-Road and order them through him, (316) 776-9900 |

Since they come out of Seattle... Pretty much anywhere... I'd try either Heather at All J's (www.boulderbars.com / 909-866-4800 would have to pay shipping) or Dave at Northridge 4x4 in Bremerton (www.northridge4x4.com / 360-340-0282 would have to pay WA states outrageous sales tax). Not sure how much Dave can sell them for, but he is a dealer for ARB/OME and has an excellent reputation for customer service. Heather I believe has all 4 springs for about $303 on their website, they are also well known for their customer service, and have been a long time supporter of the KJ and of LOST Jeeps... I know which I would call first. |

so i'm pretty sure i am gonna go through boulderbars, now i plan to put 2 conduit nuts on each side right away, i know some do 3......is that pushing te clevis a little but?, i've heard about some spacer plates from rustys that can be added to the front for another 3/4 inch, whats your view on that? thats about all i can do without doing a frankenlift isn't it? when does the cv issue come into play ? on the rear is it actually safe to us 3 isolators on each side, sorry about all the questions that you guys get constantly, i just need to hear it directly from someone that knows. thanks alot |

there was plenty of retainer left for 3 total upper isos on the rear when i did mine considering how the clevis holds the strut, 3 (to me anyway), didn't seem pushing it at all but i suggest running what you are comfortable running, get an extra nut, slide it on and see what you think, if you think youll be uncomfortable with it like that then take it back off it's no fun driving a vehicle that you're paranoid about! |

Personaly I would only do the 2 conduit nuts and 1 extra ISO per side in the rear, this way you have some where to go for leveling once it settles, but that's just my opinion. |

is it going to settle and level differently if you have 2 extra isos and 3 conduit nuts versus 1 extra iso and 2 conduit nuts or are you going to have to take it apart and put in extra? that's a halfway serious question and halfway just poking fun at you just cause i'm in a good mood |

Ya I guess either way you have to take it apart to add/remove to level. |

sweep how are you liking the 7088 rear shocks, i ended up using the 17004's i didn't realise there was a 7088 so i never pondered that option |
