http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.m ... sus_kj_kit I haven't heard many people talk about Rusty's 2.5" suspension lift. Its only $465, so that makes me nervous specially since they dont tell you any ratings or anything like that. Compared to a front only franky, what do you guys think? front only is $545 http://www.boulderbars.com/frankenlift.htm What do you guys think? **Realization:: I know everyone of you will prolly say franky so i can add the back when i have more money...sigh (do it right the first time right?). talk about monopoly! lol. |

Well the Rusty's spring ratings are equivalent to your stock springs, which is most likely why it's so inexpensive. But I know there's a few who have installed it nonetheless, and it's been okay. You don't want it if you're going to add a lot of weight though (winch, bull bar). The springs will sag more quickly than the Franky, but if you're on that tight of a budget, it won't be that bad. I beleive you can also piece together an OME/Rancho lift for maybe $600 - $650 + shipping. |

PLUS you say you want to get a front a rear bumper. So If you get rustys springs you are going to sag very very fast bc ur adding a 85# or more bumper, plus a winch. So it would be a smarter idea to save for the OME (franky) lift.... |

Spend the extra for OME springs, you wont regret it. I change out some sagging Crustys for a board memeber, he switch to OME's, told me ride was so much better and no sagging. |

i got my lift front and rear for just over 500 unassebled , itll cost you like 40 bucks to get your struts assembled to your coils if you have a shop compress and assemble them for you but i got front and rear ranchos, 927 ome's in the front and jba2.5's for the rear with 3 conduit nuts in the front and 2 extra isos in the rear at the time it was going to be a month wait to get rear OME coils so i settled for the jba25's which are skyjacker coils , the rear coils will eventually get replaced with OME or whatever i can find that has a higher ratio |

If you read the Lift threads you will see you can piece together OME springs with Rancho shocks and save considerable money compared to the Frankenlift. Then you can clevis (virtually free)more in the front, and always add a different top plate in the future. You don't have to break the bank, but most will agree buying the good springs first will be the best savings... |
