| Post subject: | suspension/ lift question... |
I know all you Liberty Experts are probably sick of lift questions... but i do have one more for you. my 2003 sport has roughly 84,000 miles on it. i know my suspension has had it. and i want to increase the height of it. roughly 2-3 inches. however i am on a budget. hopefully i can do this on a 300-400 budget. i thought someone has used OME shocks; bigger ones to increase his ride height. is this right? anyone have any other suggestions? thanks for your help. i am still new to all this mechanical stuf. |

two questions 1. are you able to do the work yourself? 2. how difficult would it be to raise the spending to say.. 550? ome coils front with ranchos and 2 or 3 conduit nuts in the clevis and jba2.5 rear with ranchos with 2 extra iso's come to just about 500 , then tag on about 50 for alignment and you'd be set around 2.5-3 inches no question about it, you're going to need new coils, so i'd start there |

shocks don't increase height, spacers or new coils is what you need. You will need new, longer, shocks to take advantage of the taller suspension after the lift. |

aw man, you golden then start pricing shocks, i know marlin is carrying bilstens now, he's also got ome shocks and rancho shocks can either go with 17004 ranchos or ome L's for the rear get 2 or 4 upper isos from your local dealer (12bucks or so a piece) couple hockey pucks from ya local sports center (2 bucks a piece) for extended bump stops 4-6 total conduit nuts from a local hardware store like 75 cents a piece for the front clevis whatever flavor ome front coils you want and then pick your rear coils jba 4 inch rear coils will probably settle to around the 3 inch mark or, the 2.5's with 2 extra upper isos will be around the 3 inch mark ome92x with 3 conduit nuts tends to hit around 2.5-3 inches however you go about it should put the parts in about the 500 mark cheep out much less than that and ya might regret it if ya half half common knowledge of suspensions then the libby lifts are nothin harder than an involved brake job on difficulty |
