The 1st gear ration on the 42 is 2.84? What does this help? Also the transfer case has a 2.75:1 ratio in 4low |

You can also look at the Klune V's. Waaaay back when there was a write up in a magazine about someone who put a Klune David under-drive in a KJ. |

The advantage to the Rubicrawler though is that you don't change the length of you drive line. You keep your stock length drive shafts. With the Klune V you have to get shorter drive shafts. |

And no one wants a shorter shaft. All kinds of problems there. |

any reason it wouldn't work with 232 transfer case? Is the tail housing for the 42RLE significantly different than the 45RFE or 545RFE |

You guys are referring to this write up of the klune-V - http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/tech/ ... index.html Why would the shorter shafts be a bad thing? |

Even on an IFS with a 3" lift? I like the Reel front and rear driveshafts do they come in stock lengths? |

Altering driveshaft angle at all can introduce vibrations into your rig. It's the rear you have to worry about though, not the front. |
