Jayme, try to find Chrysler part number 05013995AA, had a mechanic tell me the other day thats what he uses to replace, wires are somewaht different giving you more room to reroute. He stopped me to see if I ever had any problems with mine since its lifted so try that and see post up results if it works

Leave it to Tom! Started searching the part number after your post. Found a couple web hits through Google showing people bought it from the dealer for less than $30, wrapped it with electrical tape, and that plastic wire organizing stuff in an effort to prevent the problem from happening again. Is the brass connector on the old wire stuck in the plug? Looks like it's brass can you bend it enough to get ahold of it with small pair of needle nose pliers? |

This might be a little off the wall, but maybe jeweler's pliers? They might have a finer tip to get into tight spots. Try Hobby Lobby or Michael's. |

today i replaced the whole harness clip and everything spliced it into the wires worked the few miles to the dealership then as i was leaving speedo was stuck on zero still.. i have i wanna say 2,000 miles unaccounted for on my odometer cause jeep cant make doo doo that works.. |

Thats fine, thanks! I will plan to get under the jeep tonight and take a look. Maybe i can just clean it out and make sure the wires are not rubbing. I did see the e-brake cable rubbing pretty hard core on it so not sure what damage its done.

If you have to replace it, make sure you zip tie the new wiring out of the way somewhere. Yep, here are some other pictures that show what happens.  You can see in both the upper and lower pics that its rubbed right through to the wire. Thankfully its not corroded and there's still plenty of wire left to salvage.  I'm going to go the cheap way and use some good shrink wrap and then tape it up good. In my particular case simply unplugging the plug and moving it to the other side of the E-brake cable should help too. Thanks Yellocoyote! -Nick |
