If I put a Frankenlift lift on would I be able to put on 265/85/16 with some trimming?

depends on what you call trimming? 265-75-16 is about it and then some trimming so an 235-85 would require more! That a 33.7 inch tire where as a 265-75 is 31.8

I think cutting torch :wink: or 8 inch lift

Yes or just OME springs a couple of tricks like a 3/8 inch top plate and some conduit nuts, cheaper than a Franky. Thats what I have now ( 3/8 inch top plate and a few conduit nuts ) and sit as high as a Frankenlift ( and thats with mine having 97,000 on the springs.)

So you can go either way. :wink:

I put 245/75/16 firestone destination M/t with a frankII lift. They rub slightly. Only on full lock to lock. They rub the front by the fog access door.

The 3/8" top plate is a steel plate with bolt holes that gets sandwhiched between the upper strut plate and the body of the vehicle. This pushes the whole coil spring assembly down 3/8" resulting in about 3/4" of lift.

The conduit nuts are for a different trick. Put these on the bottom of the strut between the strut coil seat and the clevis for another 3/4" of lift (you will add about 3/8" of conduit nuts).

so with that giving 3/4", if you used a full 1"strut plate, would it go higher?
i just cant afford the franky2 prem that i want and i know these springs need new life, got nice destination at from firestone but they only gave me the stock size--235?

i got new tires about 10-15k ago, and really need new springs and shocks...
If I get a franky, I will not be getting new tires.

My question is,
if I am going to keep the tires I have now(general grabbers), would it be better to lift it or just replace the necessary shocks/springs?

b/c after 81K, they are beatin the hell outta me!

with 10-15k on tires sounds ilke about half of the life still to go. If you have to change all your springs/shocks i would replace them with atleast OME HD stuff... might as well if you have to buy them anyway. or pony up some extra jack and do the frankenlift. however as tom stated above.. you can get the height of a frankenlift with some conduit nuts, sturt spacer, and OME HD springs... but the frankenlift is just a 'bolt it in and go' lift which is nice... and then you can add conduit nuts if you STILL want more height.

There is a name for a 1" strutplate...it's called an OTT lift.

If you really can't wait to lift get the Terraflex kit, super easy install and then you'll have the extended bumpstops already for when you can afford the Franky.

just started my realestate career, and the money should be coming in the next month or so.... so what all do I need to get the maximum amount of lift with ome hd's, conduit nut, etc...!
