My '03 has the 4 wheel discs, no ABS. I want to upgrade to a decent set of rotors and pads in the spring, mainly to get the stock feel back and for towing reasons. (I tow a 4000lb trailer). Who's done what and had good success/performance for the money?

On my 05, I recently replaced all 4 rotors with napa Ultra Premium rotors, and the Napa UP semi-metallic pads. I tow a 3500# single axle trailer (5x13), and the difference is night and day. In doing the research, ceramic pads are not recommended by many for heavy towing. Granted, 3500# is not heavy in comparison to a 44' livestock trailer, but for the liberty, it is a decent load.

i looked at the slotted, cross-drilled rotors, but I did not see the rational for the extra money. Brake fade or glazing had not been an issue. I was able to get 77k miles out of the factory components. Granted, the rotors were toast, but the pads still had a bunch of life in them. The rotors on my KJ had literally rusted off the hat.

maybe KJ119 will buzz in, he is running powerslot rotors I believe with EBC greenstuff pads, I think its an excellent setup, and I may be switching to that set up soon.

EXCELLENT setup indeed.Stopping power is a hundred fold better than stock.They're a lil pricey,but with all the weight we add to our 4X4's,a brake upgrade should be on everyone's list.Especially if you let your wife drive your rig.

I just got out of a company meeting,where I was looking at my bosses CRD,and the brake dust was awefull.

I don't buy wheelcleaner anymore.Now Westley's bleche-white that's another story.

GO EBC's!!!!!!!!!!!You won't regreat it.I'll never go back.

With a 4,000lb trailer you should have trailer brakes. I wouldnt imagine trying to tow something like that and stop, more so if its raining.
