O.K. I'm sure the answer is here somewhere, but after using the search feature and almost throwing my computer through the window in frustration (you know what I mean) I decided to just ask (don't tell my wife!!) I have lifted my '06 KJ with a Daystar 2.5" spacer lift and want to buy a winch bumper (ARB, Rocklizzard, etc) sometime in the future. Is there any way to use CRD front coil springs with the Daystar lift or should I go with a Franky, etc.? Thanks for putting up with a newbies redundancy.
John

your rear would be fine with the stock springs and 2.5" spacers. but for the front, it would probably just be easier to get the OME HD CRD springs, the 790's and take out the front spacer

i think he meant getting the stock mopar diesel springs with the daystar spacers he already has. but could probably be just as easy to get rid of the spacer and get the 790's, and hold up better. im not sure if even the jeep diesel springs will hold up a steel bumper and winch for a long while

yeh, I did mean stock CRD front coils with the Daystar. So 790's w/out the spacer should work w/ a winch bumper?

yep! i have the OME HD coils for a gas KJ, the CRD ones are 500lbs vs 400lbs like the ones i have, supports all that weight up front better. eventually ill upgrade, but the ones i have work just fine too

I already tried that concept with a RRO 2.125" combo lift and stock CRD front coils. They held up for about 8 - 10 months and then sagged badly with the ARB and winch.

Do youself a favor and just get the OME CRD 790's and remove the Daystar.
