Post subject:  Frankenlift Help

Help,
I am trying to install the Frankenlift on my '02 KJ and have run into a brick wall.

I can't get the clevis bracket back on. It seems too long. I know this works but I can't seem to get it. What is the secret. Do I need to compress the strut assembly to get it back together? Please help. I need to get this finished this weekend.

Please feel free to call me collect at 903-728-5485 if you can help.

Jeff,
I had the same problem with my frankinlift. It seemed that I had the heavy duty springs shipped and that OME made a slight change to them. This made it very hard to get on. You can do it though.
Did you break apart both the upper and lower ball joints? That should help.
I didn't and I had to use a pry bar and a strong friend to pry the lower A-arm down enough to get the clevis in.
Let me know if you get them in.
Also, call Quinn he'll make it right whatever the problem is.

I dropped the lower A-arm completely. Then it went in real easy.

Post subject:  Help with rear spacers

I got the front finished this morning. How do I install the rear spacers. It appears that I need to drill out the bottom plate and tapping it would be easier than trying to get the nut on from underneath the bottom plate.

Clint,
If you get this message please call me collect at 903-728-5485.

Thanks,
Jeff Collins

There shouldn't be any spacers in the rear. You got the red Skyjacker coils, right?

Post subject:  Fankenlift Done

:D :D :D Its Done!!! Took about 12 hours and a couple of phone calls to All-J for help. If I did it again knowing what I do now I could do it in 5 hours easy.

Thanks everyone and especially Clint and All-J for the help.

I am running 215 86 R16 Firestone Destination MT's with absolutely no rubbing and I didn't even have to hammer the pinch weld.

I haven't had it off road but I did take it out in the pasture to jump some terraces. Offroad handling over uneven terrain is greatly improved. Bumps that would have bottomed out the old springs are smooth.

I can't speak about the other lifts out there but the Frankenlift is definately well thought out. I give it my whole hearted recommendation. I also can't say enough about the service from the guys at All-J. :D :D :D :D :D :D

They took calls on friday evening and saturday morning and were very helpful answering questions when I got bogged down.

How much did the Frankenlift run you if you don't mind me asking. I'm going to get my lift here in the next few months and thought I was going with Rusty's 2.5 suspension lift but I've read a few things that make me want to look into the Frankenlift. Thanks

It cost $750.00 plus shipping. One advantage of the Frankenlift is that it comes with the struts and springs assembled, which is the most difficult portion of the install. That alone is worth 200.00.
