I was thinking about putting a DTT in the front diff. I heard once or twice about people having problems with it when you are going up a hill, stop, go to start moving again, and then while you move your foot from the brake to the gas the cars moves slightly backwards breaking the DTT and possibly the diff. Possible problem with the DTT in a lib front diff. I know alot of you guys run a DTT up front so I am hesitant to believe this, but any truth to this, or did I dream this up. |

DTT or not, pulling someone in reverse has had a tendency to bust the front diff puts pressures on parts of the D30A aluminum housing that aren't designed to support those pressures pulling backwards = BAD in terms of the D30A and the DTT, overall it makes it less likely to break under spin and grab circumstances (a single wheel spinning with the open diff and all of a sudden grabs traction = ugh..) with the DTT you're more able to control those wheel spins with a little toe brake finesse and keeping the front wheels locked together just rolling backwards? haven't heard anything about that, perhaps they were recalling people pulling someone in reverse? |

Thanks for the reply, but I wasn't talking about pulling in reverse, but rather just everday driving where you have to stop on a hill and roll a little backwards as your try to accelerate again. How you like your front DTT? I think it would be a good combo with my ESP. Should work in unison. |

I ran a DTT up front for 4 years and wheeled it hard and my D30A lived(my drivers side outer CV joint didn't).It worked so good my old diff is still in use in JLRockies CRD and he loves it also.Never had a issue with it.Most who have issues with the DTT are those running 33"+ tires since the DTT is not ment to handle any tire over 33". |

My DTT has been installed for almost six months now. Have not had any problems at all. JL Rockies has a front DTT and a rear ESP. I followed him around in Moab last year before I got mine installed And it seemed to work really well for him. You might PM him and see how he likes that combo. |

I'm all famous and schizzle. The DTT in my rig has climbed the highest trails of CO, the hottest slick rock of the desert of SE UT and deepest swamps of So FL. I've always rolled 235/85R16 and currently rolling 265/70R16 and have roughly 30K miles on it on top of what tjkj2002 put on it. |

sweet, does the ESP aid the DTT at all? |

Yes, they work very well together. |

When it was pulled out of my KJ that diff had about 48,000miles on it,it was bought brand new with the 4.10's already installed and I just added the DTT and swapped into my KJ. |

I "found" a set of almost new Cooper STT's just sitting next to the wheel balancer no one wanted. These will get me through until Spring when I'll get a new set of MT/R in the cool kids size. I make it a point to keep good relations with the techs because you never know what you'll find. |
