Does anyone know where I can find a set of Boiler's upper shims? I read a thread saying he is busy with other things at the moment. Are the availible elsewhere? Does another company make them? Does anyone have a used set for sale?

Thanks for any help! Just looking to bolster my stock suspension since it is sagging, that is until I save up for Rockfather II....

I used two JBA top plates per side. I don't believe in introducing foreign objects into the struts (conduit nuts) and extending them closer to the end. I'd rather have powder coated machined steel plates on top held in place by four bolts. Lots of guys go the conduit/clevis route with success, but it's not for me.

I still wanna see how much thread (if any) you have sticking out of those mounting studs.

X2

the 3/8's is generally considered the most that you can put on top
and the conduit nuts are just spacers to help measure - they aren't necessary - it's the bolt torque that holds it in place.

That many

Red Loc-tite'd them and after 4 months, no movement at all.

Remember, the weight of the vehicle pushes down on the struts, so the only time those studs/bolts come into play is when the wheels are off the ground (not all that often)

Can I put 2 top plates without having to replace the strut bolts?
