with the longer arms do you gain any more articulation or is it limited by the lower arms? If it is-Al when can we expect lower arms?

Ok so what is the deal with Jeepinal's A-arms?? Are they worth it, any problems with them?? Give me the scoop people. I need to replace mine and I am wondering if I should go with these bad boys or not. Please only chime in if you have experience with them. Thanks, |

They work great. I've seen a pair in action on our local club runs. Mine are currently in the mail. Keep in mind you need a lift to use these bad boys. |

In my opinion they are really worth it!!! work awesome and the ball joint is serviceably and is stout!!! See my thread in the tech section on ball joint replacement, and you will see them and how you will need to modify the bumpstop for the grease zerk. in my pictures, the arms are blue, I painted them, he sends them as bare steel. also, Al and I tested some boots, (if you look close, I have 2 different boots on them in the pics, and I told al which one was better, and that is the one he is sending with them now.) The arms are for lifted KJ's only. they are longer. They allowed me to finally get my alignment back in spec after the lift, and I also have no ball joint contact at all at full droop |

I'm happy with mine too. It's not just the arms, as others have said, the ball joints Al uses are great!. I see USAFCOP said his were bare metal. Mine came black (don't recall if they were painted or powder coated) so not sure what Al does for that part now. So what is the deal with Als upper control arms? besides upper ball joint contact. I dont have any UBJ contact at full droop. is there ank other reason why i should buy them? will it help my aligment? |

they improved my alignment greatly, and instead of being maxed out, I still have some adjustment left. Reasons for replacement, well, it is up to you, If your upper ball joints go bad, then why not spend a little extra for a larger serviceable joint instead of a non serviceable small joint. But really, it is up to you |

My deciding factor was to get the new ball joints much more than the longer arms. The longer arms are definately nice if you have contact issues, but my factory ball joints were very loose and I figured Al's are many times better than DC's.  My alignment was "ok" before hand, but the new arms also made it easier. The adjustments were quite extreme before, now they're more "normal." (based on what the shop told me.)
The shop that I had install them also races Cascar (Canadian Nascar) and said that the ball joints are the same heavy duty ones they use in thier cars. I figure that's quite an endorsment. |

well the ball joints all uses are MOOG replacements for old Mopar Muscle cars like Cudas and Road Runners and Chargers. |

For all you that are interested in this product I contacted Al to get the skinny on this dealio. JeepinAl's response: "I am currently updating the design with the welder and the new improved arms should be ready for delivery by the end of next week. We have made the bushings press in and made the area where the arm tube is welded to the ball joint bungs a little bigger for more welded area. We are just going the extra yard. It should be noted if you running 255- 70's on steel wheels you may have minor rubbing on the arms. It will not effect the strength or life span of the arm. It will rub the paint off. I am also looking into powder coating the arms. Shipping runs around $15.00 to your area. Usually a couple of dollars more or less. So if you would like send a check, please make it out to Jeepin By Al, LLC for $365.00. Mail it to 304 Route 94 Columbia, NJ 07832. " So I will post more info when they come in to let you all know what I think about the quality of the new product, etc... |

Hey Guys thanks for the good press. I made these about 1.5 years ago just for myself. My second set went out to Mr. Lowe in Canada, after what seemed months of e-mailing each other, he finally talked me into making them available for the general consumption. I hadn't planned on selling them, but they were just working out on mine real well. So this is why I started jeepinbyal.com or Jeepin By Al, LLC. Since I needed to go througth all the trouble of getting a tax ID and developing the LLC, I started reaching out to other manufactures so I can sell thier goods, and get them for my KJ. Everything I sell (except for the sunroof) I have installed on my KJ or other KJ's and I rec'd good positive reviews on these products. The sunroof will be this coming summer. Ok, here is the picts of what I done in the rear: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... c&start=15 Yea, the rear is a little crude, but its the best I could do on a 12 hour Sunday afternoon. I have the plans for a modified tri-link I just haven't welded it up yet. And for the front, I have asked my welder to weld me up 3 inch (current ones drop about an inch) drop upper a-arms with poly bushing I want to see how much noise the poly is going to transmit into the cab). I have the steel to make the front "body" lift. And I read that Fab Tech has a set of coil over shocks and springs for the new Grand. I will be contacting them very soon, to see if I can weisel a pair out of them!  I will be working on the front lift most likely in Feb. and March. (don't worry MA Lost I will be at Mike and Wendy's farewell ride!). I want to have it done to be road and off road tested for our Moab trip
