 Post subject: trailer wiring help

Im trying to wire up my trailer lights and im having trouble finding out which wires go where. can anyone help?

The colors are

blue
black/blue stripes
red/black stripes
red/white stripes
yellow
(another)black/ blue stripes
green/yellow stripes
gray /green stripes

anyone know which ones go where? Thanks in advance for the help

it's not recommended you tap directly into the wiring. you're better off getting one of the adapters that isolate the trailer wiring from the vehicle and give you the proper wires for a trailer.

As Sota said this really is the best way to go. I did mine and ran into an issue where the trailer lights would blink really fast. It was because I didnt have one of the Hoppy relays as in Sotas picture. I went for the cheaper product and got screwed. You can get them at most auto parts stores.
