I had a little scare with a rock the other day, but thankfully everything is ok. I've decided I need some protection, I don't even have any skids. Unfortunately I'm on a tight budget, but I want to get good protection. I'm probably going to buy one skid at a time, which should I get first? What brand should I buy? Are Mopar's good enough? I do light to medium offf roaring and don't plan on doing any serious rock crawling anytime soon, but I would like to eventually. All advice will be greatly appreciated.

You can buy all four of the Mopar skids for a small cost compared to one hard core skid. Probably buy two of each four Mopar skids and still cost less than the really good ones out there. Since you are doing mostly light to moderate, the Mopar skids should do the trick for now.

Just know that the fever will strike and you will be curious to try something harder. It's a Jeep thing.
