Im curious to know what the deal is with Rancho shocks. It seems to be the main shock used by most of you. Is it cuz that is one a few options for the KJ? I had Bilstiens on my F-250 ( I know different animal altogether) But man were they awesome. They rode much nicer than the ranchos my buddy had. Please educate me.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Its not the only option. Ive got the ome shocks and i love them. Perfect ride, so much better than the stock ones. Over dips in the road, the jeep would stay so stiff and now it just soaks them up. Ive got a small clunk coming from one of the rear shocks though, i dont know if its a bad shock or what. Rustys has them but they dont fit right, ome, and rancho, the biggest ones. There are several other shocks out there though. |

I've had Bilstiens on everything I've ever owned from as far back as I can remember. Always replaced the OE with them ASAP. Unfortuantely, can't locate any for the KJ but understand from my local 4x4 shop, Bilstien's coming out with a set for the KJ sometime late this year, 2006. Padrino |

The lifted rigs were topping out the stock shocks and needed a longer shock. The Ranchos are easy to find anywhere. Cross reference the number over to a Bilstein and I imagine you'll have it made also. |

Rusty's shocks do fit right. You just have to put washers on the top to fill a small gap. I really like his rear shocks that came with the lift, nice and smooth and just the right length for the extra flex. |
