i have a 03 liberty with a 3.7 and the oil pressure light has came on and would go out this has happened before and i just changed the oil but now it has come on and the motor is knocking has any one else had this problem

first step that i would take to help the knocking would be to make sure your putting the right octane in i have a 04 sport 3.7L standard trany and it take 87 octane but in ur case bump the octane up for a while to help.
