Could someone please describe to me what the pinchweld is? I have owned my 02 liberty for 4 years now and have become really interested in lifting and customizing but want to know all the details first! thanks!

Keep in mind that All KJ's are slightly different.

I have a 2004 and have had both the Skyjacker and Frankenlift's on my truck.

I have run LT245/75-16 in Bridgestone REVO's and BFG MT's and have never had to pound down
the pinch weld. Other guys have had to do it due to severe rubbing.

You're really not going to know until you try the new tires.

Good luck.

I've had 3 different 245/75/16 tires on a 2 1/2" Daystar lift - 2 didn't touch the pinch weld - 1 almost ripped off the plastic......

remember the '245' is the width of the fat part of the tire - the cross section - not the tread - tread width only gets mentioned occasionally but it can vary 1/2" or more - and it's the tread that rubs.
