Hey guys and gals. Well, I have my lift on my Renegade and I am very happy with it. My only problem is with the bushings that came with my Skyjacker shock absorbers. They are a little big for the bolts on the top mount, and they currently have a little play to them (causing a rattle when I go over bumps). I want to replace these ASAP, but I have already thrown away my stock shocks. *DUMB* Anyone able to give me the inside diameter of the OEM bushing would be a huge help to my search.
If any of you have run into this, and know a part number for a good poly set that won't rattle, I would love your suggestion.

Thank you all in advance, I look forward to fixing this ASAP then posting pictures of the finished product.

the bushings are too short, I also have the skyjackers.

You have to either shim the ends with washers or crank the hell outta the shock mounts to crush them around the bushings to make them snug.

I did that and my noise disappeared completely.

Which did you do? Crack the hell outta them, or shim them? When you did whichever, did that expand the bushing and the spacer in the bushing to a more snug fit on the bolt? I don't want any play in them, too much racket and it can't be good for the bolts or the ride.

BTW, thank you for your reply. :D

there is always going to be a small bit of play on the bolt, no matter how tight your tolerances are.

the rattling is coming from the play between the bushing and the shock mount.

if you eliminate that space, the problem disappears because the bolt/bushing will be so tight, there will be no play.

I cranked mine down until the mount was tight around the bushing, and then torqued to factory spec.

Sound gone.

Add two washers per side, and tightened them up good. No more rattling or squeaking!
So much better.
