I am wondering if I can fit 265/75 with Rusty's 2.5 in lift or is the biggest I can go 245/65? I know that I will have to do some trimming, I was just wondering what setup most are running with the Rusty's 2.5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Not from personal experience, but a friend down the road is running a Daystar 2.5 spacer and has 245/75/16's with no rubbing....and no trimming done....For a 2.5 lift you could run 245/75 without issue...I think about only 1 or 2% of KJs have a slight rubbing issue...even then...not a big deal. A 245/75 is a respectable size and will add more ground clearance to your 2.5 lift....believe me, they make the KJ look and feel very tall. ![]() |

Thanks that is what I think I am going to go with. I just thought that I would get some input from the pros first. I have been approved for a loan by the woman of the house to get this stuff.lol So I will be in debt to her for awhile. My only thing is that the dealership I bought from said that putting a lift on might void my powertrain warranty. I am going to check at some other dealerships though. |

they can only void the part that failed if they can prove that the lift caused the problem, they CAN NOT VOID your whole warrenty even powertrain due to a lift |

Ok, I have to add another .02 cents here....they can only void a certain part of warranty or refuse a job under warranty if they can absolutely prove with a shadow of doubt that the lift caused a failure. By putting on a lift you are not altering your powertrain, your steering, your electronics, your body work, exhaust, etc.....you are altering your suspension system....the only thing they can ding you on is your suspension system. Contact DC (Daimler Chysler Corp.) not a dealership, and speak to their warranty office....thats what I did and they told me the exact same thing. I asked all the questions I could about other parts of the vehicle and thats what they said. A dealership will give you hassles over "voiding warranty" because they are in the business of making money and selling product. When they do a warranty job they are not getting paid to do a diagnostic, and they are not getting an hourly labor rate, so in the end they are losing money to do a warranty job. Be sure if you speak to a dealership and they tell you "You can't do that without voiding" quote the Magnuson-Moss Act (do some research on it first) and that will help you out. It basically outlines the American Law about vehicle warranties and is in place to help people like us. Remember, your powertrain covers ALOT of items...most of which don't even connect to the suspension...that is a MAJOR part of your warranty...to be blunt, your dealership is full of s**t. At any rate if you buy an aftermarket new product they usually come with thier own guarantee or warranty....so where you lose you gain...don't let the dealers tell you what you can and can't do. They are not interested in your vehicle, they are interested in your money. Best of luck ![]() |

Well thanks for all the advice, I went ahead and ordered my lift from Rusy's so I should have it in about a week. I am ordering the General AT2's 245/75. I will post some pics when it is done. |
