New stuff

So, I got new Wheels and Goodyear MTR tires, a new suspension from the ground up, new Dana 44 rear axle and Dana 30 SFA for the front, Traclock differential for the rear, new frame and body, bored the motor out to an I-6 4.0L, Put a 5spd manual and junked the automatic, converted the jeep to a removable hard top, got a roll cage, shrunk the passenger compartment, and put a subwoofer in the center console. It was quite an endeavor, but in the end I think it's worth it, even though the jeep has more road noise now than ever, and my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy.

So... Here's the pic:

I really should have gotten a wrangler in the first place, I loved the liberty, but I secretly wanted the wrangler. My girlfriend was the weighing factor for the first Jeep. She liked the pretty headlights and dash. Oh well. She liked it so much she almost wouldn't let me drive it, so I had to take charge. I got myself a stickshift wrangler (she cant drive stickshift :lol:

It's a 2003 Wrangler (Light metallic Khaki), to replace my
2003 Liberty (light metallic Khaki).
The Wrangler was purchased for the exact same price I purchased the liberty for, but with a lower interest rate. Yay.

I have big plans. I already have a 2" body lift sitting in the living room... I'll install it friday...

Why did you turn to the dark side?....just kidding. Nice move with getting the manual. I wish I could have done the same with my KJ (my girl can't drive a stick either) but the dealer only had automatics on the lot and I was not going to order and have to wait. I hate fighting for control of the driver's seat. Or control of the radio (my girl likes the sirius radio) :cry:

I hope your not used to the libby on the trail. you may get into trouble if you try to take that pos the same places you did the libby. Hope ya dont flip it! :twisted:

mounting a maglight is one of those things in LOST history that needs to be preserved for all time. In fact-newbies should be forced to read it before they are allowed to post. This will give them an idea of who is really on this board... You know who I am talking about.

sweet libby! do they sell that as a complete kit, or do you buy a kit (like a suspension lift kit), and then buy the rest of the pieces you need to make it work? (like wheels and tires, driveshafts, etc...) :-)r

thanks everyone. I installed the body lift today. It rides the same, but now I have to stretch to get into the passenger compartment. I'm just making room for future plans... (RE 5.5" longarm kit.....35" MTR's, and the such...) I'm going to have to get those stirrups that you hang out the side of your wrangler to get a foot in the door...
JeepJeepster, I hope you're kidding... :lol:

Can't beat a wrangler with anything but another wrangler...
