Color me silly, but this seems like an incredible amount of work for a unibody 4x4. On top of all the electrical and driveline upgrades, you'll probably have to reinforce the entire rig with a custom subframe. Not saying this is bad, but essentially you're building a full on custom rock crawler wearing Liberty make-up.
Have you considered a super-charger, and strengthening the drive-line to handle the extra umph?
I'm just thinking out loud for you.
Best of luck! Keep pictures coming as you worth through this project, please.
Check out TJKJ's little orange Jeep build, might answer some of your ?
Frame stiffeners? yep I have them.
Beefed up drivetrain? yep got that covered also with a HP44(alloy axles and CTM's) up front and RockJock60(alloy 35 spline axles) in the rear and being supplied power via a AtlasII t-case.Oh and 1350 u-jointed F/R High Angle Driveline driveshafts.
Forget the supercharger,no one makes one for the 3.7 and it will just blow the engine anyway due to the piston ring locations, not worth adding forged pistons to handle the boost.
Plus the KJ's uniframe is leaps and bounds stronger(something like 200%-300% stronger) then the XJ's or a unibody SUV.
And yes there is a difference between a uniframe and a unibody.
