I've had these designed up for awhile, but just never started production. With the high interest in my upcoming front and rear bumpers, I figured I would test the waters for my Skink Sliders. Check them out here: http://www.rocklizardfabrications.com/jeep_liberty.htm Those pictures are a little old, but they give a basic idea. The actual production models will have my High Density Poly-Ethylene (HDPE) sliders, and will mount to the pinch seam and to the unibody with three mounts. I am not going to powder coat these for several reasons: Powder coat sucks on sliders. You beat them on the rocks and scrape the PC off, then you get some serious rust issues and they are more difficult to touch up. PC is too expensive to scrape off on the rocks. Spray cans are a lot cheaper and easier to touch up, and can be customized with different colors easier/cheaper. Packing and shipping a powdercoated product of this size is a pain in the rear, and not cheap. I can coat these with primer, paint, or powdercoat, but just wanted to warn potential customers ahead of time about the powdercoat. So, check out the pictures, the features, and the prices, and let's see who wants on my list for these. And, to spark a little more interest and tease you guys a little bit, I have a little promotional contest that I will be starting very very soon involving all of my KJ products (sliders, front and rear bumpers). |

Actually, I wouldn't buy rails if they didn't attach to the pinch weld. It adds a lot of strength and all the best rails already on the market utilize it. |

Every good rock rail since the beginning of time has incorporated the pinch weld into the mounting system. The pinch weld mounts are to distribute the forces along the pinch weld and the bottom of the floor, and the unibody mounts are to keep the rails from rolling upward on the pinch weld. I wouldn't even consider a rail/slider that didn't use both pinch weld and unibody mounts. EDIT: Dang, skyjump read my mind faster than I could.

Has anyone ever considered covering the "ladder" part of the rails with a sheet of something? I mean there are now horizontal bars where there used to be nothing, they could catch on something, ya know? Just curious.... Would make a nice flat bottom. |

Bennybmn, I asked that a long time ago and those with the Boulder Bars said they never got rocks/boulders hung up between the mounting bars. |

I like the bars. Looks like a cheap alternative to AllJ's and they look just as tough. I like the looks of em too. For $250 (or $213 intro) depending on how quick I get my tax refund you got a deposit...who can give me directions to H&R Block? |

I'm afraid to even look. 80lbs to Germany was dang near $300. If I had a distributor that bought a crate load of these at a time, then it wouldn't be too bad, but dang, I'll have to research it if you are serious. |

For $213 I definitely want to be put down for a pair. They look like they're coming out more or less on my birthday, so I should be able to afford 'em (I hate what college has done to my bank account  ) They look real nice, can't wait for them to ship.
EDIT: I forgot to ask, will you include something like a drilling template to help line up the holes we'll have to drill, or will we need to cut one out of cardboard or something? |
