I have a 2005 Libery 4X4 Limited. I need to change out the rear differential (backing into salt water).

Any directions on how to do that would be appreciated. Tips and "watch out for" etc. How to set the backlash.

The Chrysler corporate rear ends like the 8.25 use a rotating adjuster to set up the rear diff. It requires a special tool but makes the job pretty easy when compared to some other set-ups, IMHO. There are ways around the adjusting tool. A wider Google search for tips & tricks on 8.25 set-up might get you more/better info, though.
