Hello,

I have a "pre-lowered" 2002 jeep liberty. I just purchased and had new goodyear wrangler duratracs tires . The size of the tires are 245-75-16. The tires only rub at full-lock just a little bit , not much at all. I am running a stock suspension. I feel that I may need a very small lift in order to fit the tires a little better. I am not using my liberty as a trail rig. The main reason for the new tires was becuase of the snow and rain. These new tires are a absolute world of difference for the better. Any recommendation in regards to small lifts, possibly DIY lifts.

Also, if I were to purchase aftermarket wheels with less backspacing, would this cause the tires to rub more? I am looking for wheels with less backspacing so the tires stick out a bit.

You can add some height in the front with a clevis lift and in the rear with spring iso's.

Yes wheels with less back spacing will cause more problems with rubbing than you have now.
As mentioned you can do a clevis for maybe 3/4 of an inch lift, extra isolator in the rear on top for a little.

Duratracs are pretty good tire, I have over 11,000 miles on mine so far

If I were you I'd do a Boiler top plate and a clevis lift up front. The use ISO's in the rear to level up to the front. I wanna say that'd give ya' around an inch 1/2.

A 3/8 inch plate will give you 3/4 inch of lift, add 3 ring clevis for about 1.25 to 1.5 inch of lift
everything you add doubles in the amount of lift you get
