Here are two pictures of a hose I found while doing and oil change. The oil on the hose is from what I spilled removing the oil filter. The other end was not connected. Can anyone tell me where the other end should be attached to and what this hose does?

Thanks.

This shows the end not connected

This shows where the hose originates from on the under the engine, ignore the oil on it.

This appears to be your front differential breather.

I think that is correct. It is definitely a breather though.
The end that is "not connected" is just supposed to sit over a screw near the battery to be held in place.

That is indeed the front diff breather and it snaps onto the driver side coil over bolt that sticks up under the battery. If you cant get to it or cant find it just zip tie it up nice and high away from moving/hot parts.

Thanks for the info I did slip onto a bolt. Just curious would it leak oil? Just want to make sure all that oil on it is from me and not a leak.
Thanks
