So, like the title says, I've an ARB bumper on my '05 Renegade. I'm having trouble keeping dirt/mud/water out of the turn signal lamp assemblies that came with the bumper. Check the pics out to see what I mean. ![]() With the lens off... ![]() Inside of the lens... ![]() Anybody know of any replacement lamp assemblies or a sure fire way to seal these up? I put a hefty bead of clear silicone around the lens to lamp mating surface and a dollup of the same on the backside where the "vents" are. I'll see how well it holds up next time I go wheeling. In the mean time, if anyone has any good ideas, post them up!! Truthfully, I'm kinda pissed that the lamps aren't watertight and that the connectors they come with aren't sealed up at all either. Man, you'd think that for the premium ARB expects us to pay for a bumper that they'd put in some decent lights. Ian |

...I honestly did not know that the newer, I have a 2002, ARB bumpers came with lights. I would suggest double chcking the seals and possibly...caulking them? Just an idea. |

There were NO seals. Cheap assed lights. I put a hefty bead of clear silicone around the lens-housing mating area, I'll see if that works. |

I had the same problem with my turn/markers in my ARB. I also took some Permatex high temp RTV silicone and sealed the lens to the housing and the connections and have not had a short or burned bulb due to water and muck getting in there. It's just a little more time to change a bulb now. But it solved my problems. Kinda does suck that ARB doesn't send a watertight housing with the high priced bumpers. Good luck with the fix. |

OK, so, the company hasn't replied to ANY of my emails with questions about the space between the mounting holes and general dimensions on a couple of their models. No communication = no purchase. I was gonna say that they suck but perhaps if I pick up the phone and eat the long distance charge I'll get the answer I want. More to follow...... Hey Infernicus, still all suspensed up?? |

HAHA, yeahhh, I wanted to see it completed! lol. Well there are many many many places to get LEDS. Just check the inter-webs, Ebay? Good luck! (I'd help you search but I'm abroad right now. Somewhere in Europe.) |

Its not a industry secret that the lights used in those bumpers are from a VW Golf MKIII. Cheap replacements are readily available.... Now rant #2- ARB makes a great bumper, but... the lights and fasteners are crap. I have had to replace almost every fastener to stainless in order to keep my $1100 bumper from rusting away. |
