Rusty's currently has their diff guards on sale for $50 (normally $60).

Does anyone have a picture of one of these installed? I already have a Rock Ring, but I'm just curious to know how these things fit, since they are the cheapest diff guard I know of, and they look like they'd be pretty effective.

If I get a chance later, I'll snap a pic of mine and post it. It basically covers the lower half of the diff. I just wish it had recessed bolts like the Poison Spyder. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Nice...looks like a pretty good solution to me. Only minor inconvenience is that you have to remove it to change the diff oil, but no big deal.

Thanks for the pics. Do you mind if I post them on my Links and Parts site?

How is this an inconvenience? The diff cover has to be removed to change gear oil anyway.

Yeah, I guess you normally would, although I've heard of just sucking it out with a big syringe. But I've always removed the diff cover.

I also thought that maybe it would get in the way refilling the diff, but I find it easiest to just replace the diff cover first and let the liquid gasket set for a week, then put the diff guard on. So I guess there's no inconvenience all around.

Again, looks like a very good, low-cost solution.

Keep in mind though that Tammy painted hers black. They come unpainted with a zinc chromate finish.

This topic used to have some pics. Anyone know what happened to them?
