Ok well as the title says my bday and christmas are coming up soon and Im not sure of what to do so here I am asking you guys. I dont really offroad, rather I use my jeep for anything utility and sometimes that may take me off the beaten path (rare). Basically I want to do 1 of the following things: 1) overhaul the exhaust or 2) overhaul the suspension.

I kinda wanted to wait until about 80k to do these but I got comments about my suspension (and I noticed a little sagging) and the muffler I have took a terrible beating last winter (and will most definitely have holes in it from this winter). Basically I want to replace the whole exhaust with stainless steel (headers and all) minus the muffler if there is a flowmaster that wont rot as fast as mine did (LOVE that super 44 sound). As for the suspspension I would be replacing springs, struts, UCA, Ball joints, ect. I dont need a lift (would prefer 1in or less lift with HD spring rate), but I do need a heavy duty suspension for all the hauling and beating I put my KJ through. I was looking and saw there was a 1.5 in HD lift OME that looks great.

The downfalls to either arent too bad (little worse for the suspension). The reason I want to hold off on the suspension is I dont want to have to redo the front when I get a new bumper. The exhaust wont be a huge performance increase and I kinda wanted to wait for the cats to get a bit more clogged/mileage before replacing them.

Lol its not for the performance as much as I want stainless as I want the exhaust to last a long time. Maybe instead of the exhaust I could just get 4 window regulator brackets a new muffler and rear section.

Honestly I think I may have my list:

Husky liners
stieger brackets
super 44 + end section
left rear regulator
LTT intake mod

I think that just about covers things and I can wait on the rest of the exhaust until much later, and I can wait on the suspension until I can afford a bumper.

Complete Exhaust?? Mines got over 146,000 and 6 years and still is good so not sure what you are going after.
OME Heavy duty springs ( 927s) give you a little bit more than the advertised 1.5 inches of lift.
But no matter if you take it off road or not, new springs and "shocks front and rear" will give you a better ride and handle way better than it does now.
If I was you I would replace the shocks and springs, ( UCA's and LBJs if needed) then just replace the muffler with whatever you want, won't costs as much and be ready to go!

I think Im going witht he list above as I kinda want to wait until I get a bumper as I dont want to get crd fronts with a stock plastic. I dont offroad much if at all. The most rare and light, but I would LOVE to get rid of the sagging stock springs and struts. Honestly I think Ill get a few more miles before I go into the suspension as I want to replace it all at the same time. I know you dont NEED to do UCA and such when lifting, but I want to replace them anyways. Thanks for the input guys and talking some sense into me. I know the full exhaust (headers back) wouldnt be a huge gain or anything at all, but it would have been nice for the sound and stainless. But knowing the stock can go 150k I can wait until then. :JEEPIN:

While you may not off-road, that off the beaten path can still cause damage underneath with less clearance. Get some extra height and you decrease the chance of scrapping the underneath areas. Plus it looks better.....and you will find yourself wanting bigger tires, then armor, then.....OFF-ROADING! You can't fight it. It is a Jeep's destiny.

LOL its not a matter of fighting it, rather its time + money + not having a place to wheel. I have skids for the scrapping and I will lift my baby, but I have been thinking about the bumper issue and how some use crd springs up front to help combat that. Plus if I wait I can get alot of the small stuff out of the way and save a bit more for my setup (no half booty'ing done here).

Talking about springs and bumper, you have to remember that the OME 927s are made for the extra weight of a bumper. I ran the 927s for a little over 100,000 miles all with the ARB up front, well all but 200 miles of that. Did it sag, of course but just added some clevis lift to it and it was there. That was after 70,000 miles as well!
