I just wanted to bump this back up to discuss the JBA Disconnects and the use of the "Service Pack" with them.
I have a new set of KJ disconnects from JBA and when I installed them I found that if I used the Service Pack washers they were impossible to disconnect! The clamp was also a major pain in that the wheels have to go full lock turnout in order to get the clamp over the post and be able to turn it.
They disconnect fine with the washers off, and don't sound noisy to me (but they are new). The good news is that I have no more tyre rub on the sway bar (due to it being rotated upward I guess).
Is the Service Pack just to be used when the bushings have worn or is there some way to do it on new discos that allow you to disconnect them?
Secondly, when they are adjusted for my 2 3/4" lift the post hits my brake line and ABS wire at full lock. Now JBA includes a mention of this in the instructions: bend the brake hardline out of the way and relocate the ABS wire mount hole; but can I just shorten the posts with the adjuster nut to avoid contact and thus avoid tampering with the hardline?
I have emailed JBA but got no response.
