looking for a brush guard

Hi everyone! I bought my first Jeep ever last week, an '06 Limited, and am starting to work things around in my head as to what I want to add to it. I definitely want a brush guard or bull bar for the front, preferably with a hitch built in If I can find something I like in my price range. I'm kind of leaning more towards a bull bar right now. Looking to keep it under $250, but might spend a little more if I found something I absolutely have to have. lol. I have been looking online and on this site and it appears there is a vast selection and price range. Makes it tough to settle on something when you can't really handle it yourself. I would like some opinions, recommendations, and photos if possible to help me make a decision. Need advice on relocating the front license plate too since the state of VA requires me to factor that in the equation. This is what I'm working with as a starting point....

For 250 you're not going to get much. A hitch is out of the question as thet are rare and will not work with one of those cheap bars

That's what I'm discovering. I am limited in my funds though as there are bills to be paid and little hungry mouths to feed. I'm selling my old '90 F150 and setting aside $500 of the sale for jeep goodies. The rest goes into my savings, which took a bad hit last year. First is a rear hitch, which I have found locally for $140 for a class III. The trailer wiring is another $35. That is top priority to get on the jeep as once I sell my F150 I'll have nothing to tow my boat with until I do. That would leave me with a $350 max I could go for some front end improvement. Sucks being poor. I've looked at the Westin bull bars for $243 and like the look, but I know nothing of the product or quality. Plus there is the whole front plate issue. I'd like to see the Westin with a plate attached to get a better idea of how it would look.

actually if you are good fabbing, my front hitch will fit with a westin bull bar. but like you said its a cheap bar.

but anything can be done with a welder

I'd love a brush guard, but my big problem with them is that they all use the tow hook mounting points. So if you get a brush guard, you have no where to hook to for recovery anymore. How stupid is that?

That's the reason I was keeping an eye out for something with a hitch on it.
