Well, last weekend I ripped a skid plate clean off and it's pretty much a goner. So I was looking for new skid and saw the Rusty tranny/engine one for a decent price. Anyone have any experience with these things? Quality or Not? |

How did you rip it off? What skid did you have? |

I have the mopar ones that came w/ the Renny. I'm not sure how it ripped off but I think it might have been when I got airborne at the end of my run. I wish i had pics of it because the people I headed out with said it was amazing. Got my ride nice and banged up on the front bumber |

For the hard wheeler, dont get it. Mine is already bending and I'm looking into the SuperSkid. |

I've got all three of Rusty's skids, and haven't had a problem yet. The engine/tranny skid got bent very little when I high centered myself completely in two huge ruts. But it's still there, solid as ever. I trust. I don't do a lot of rocks, but I trust 'em on there, too. BTW The Superskid by All-J Products is definitely superior skid in means of strength. If you do a lot of rocky offroading, get it at: www.boulderbars.com |

Mine is all bent up and we welded cross members to reinforce it. It still gets bent. |

my experience with rusty's... http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=3551&highlight= i would look for a different skid. even if you got the right one and on time, it hangs needlessly low |
