WD40 does nothing for helping to loosen bolts, you wasted your time spraying it on tie rod end you can use a small wrench on the bottom to hold the stud with while taking off the nut |

Do you have the lift started up in where it should be? If so then just start pushing the CV back into the housing while pushing the knuckle back towards the body, I assume you only took the top ball joint aprt and not the bottom |

riptricket wrote: should it pop back in... b/c mine does nothing. and yes, just took off the top You got to slam that CV back in as it has a c-clip on the end you need to compress and get through. Put a 21mm wrench(box end) on the tie rod nut then put a 10mm 6-point socket and ratchet and put on the bottom of the tie rod stud.Hold the wrench and tighen the stud with the ratchet. If that does not work flip the ratchet to loosen and tighten the nut back up and soak with PB Blaster and wire brush the exposed stud threads and try again. You can also try and use a small pick to pry out the nylon on the end of the nut as that is what is keeping you from getting the nut off. |

burn the nylon off, use a plumbers torch, one of those cheap ones, it will take a little bit but i promise that baby will come off easy once its hot |
