I've searched the forums for an answer to this but I couldn't seem to find much. I apologize if it was there and I missed it. I recently had my 2k7 Liberty transmission flushed "not dealer flushed." I know now that this was likely a mistake. He quoted the correct fluid to me without telling him what type it needed to be. The rear differential fluid was also changed with synthetic. It is supposed to be the correct fluid but I just found out that he added a friction modifier. I noticed a small shudder at low speeds shortly after. The shudder seemed to be when the vehicle was cold but it showed up when the vehicle was at full temperature today. Same speed and it seems to be 1st gear to 2nd gear-around 5 to 30mph and it's getting worse. It also has very hard shifts when I have to gas it on the highway. Can't check the fluid levels "dealer only" ![]() If this is not the correct area. Go ahead and move it. Gasser with the 42RLE tranny If any other info. is needed, please ask. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. |

Calling the dealer this morning to have him check it and maybe have him change the fluid. Thank you very much for responding. ![]() |

Just found out, there are a few computer resets that need to be done. I can't remember the name right now but it helps with shudder problems, hard shifts and shift points. Was told that they need to be done after a transmission service. This is what I was told anyways. The problem is intermittent and the flash was done today so I don't know if this fixed the issue. It definitely seemed to change the shift points. |
