What are your thoughts on a 12" IFS lift kit for a KJ?

Thought about doing this instead of the SFA swap. It looks cool but that IFS didn't move abit. :ROTFL:
In the end, it would cost as much or maybe even more than a SFA swap.

I like marlin and what he has done for us
but I was always told
" If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"
so I am silent

I think he went a little overboard with this one. At least you get to keep your front diff!

i think it looks Bravo Alpha. not for me cause i am not trying to go that big but to the ones that are it is a viable alternative to the SFA. Kudos for making yet another cool product for the KJ, keep it up

We've discussed it before... still not much more ground clearance and only running what 33's tires. I would opt for SFA before doing that, but in R&D gotta do something even if it's isn't completely correct, he was trying.

too high for me. its more than I'd want, but it looks cool if your into that. I met Marlin at PA jeeps he seems like an ok guy. I think his stuff is good but expensive.

With the new diff he has now you can run a 35 with that, not that I would run it at all.

I would run 35's...
it's not too high for me...its the price. you can get a SFA swap for the price of this lift...

Price has nothing at all to do with it.
If the whole thing only cost 500 bucks I would still save up for a SFA if I wanted to go that high!
Would love to see it out on some trails :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

Well, when your a College student, have bills and still try to mod your Jeep at the same time. Price is the difference maker :ROTFL:

Think I'll just pass on the SFA swap for the KJ and do a XJ or TJ project  :-)r
I am buying a TJ or XJ this Spring though. To have something else to drive and tear up :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

By December 2011 my KJ will be finished with the mods I have planned...but this Spring I'm going to try to plan a trip to the MOAB in UT...anyone up for it?

hate to tell you but once you're out of college there are still bills to pay, less money than you thought should be in your pocket and not enough to do everything you want to do to your ride.
Even Jay Leno said he would have more cars and do more things to them if he had the time and money.
Plus after 35 years of building 4 wheel drives, I have never finished one, there's always another trick to try or more to add.

Your never going to SFA a '06+ KJ for the price of that lift.Your going to have that alone in axles that are required to keep your speedo working and ABS/ESP.

This looks like a modified version of the 7-up lift that was a piece of trash.

Yeah wait 6 month after you finish and those student loans come due. :banghead: Plus I graduated in the economic slump after 9/11/2001 if I didn't get a better job in that 6 months I would have had to default on my student loans :banghead: mine aren't that much compaired to some and at my age they should be paid off but I went back to school in my mid to late tweenties. I worked full time went to school and paid a mortgage. now I'm payin off debt fixing a house, paying a mortgae on my own and trying to play with this Jeep. Money never gets easy to come by. :dizzy:

Lucky you!!! Then either you have Parents that were well off enough to pay it for you or you got Real good Scholarships and Grants. Count your blessings then either way some of us are not that Lucky. I can't wait the few years I have left to pay to be done with. my student loans and Jeep will be paid off with in months of each other. If nothing horrable happens untill then I will have all my other debts all long payed off and will be able to relax more.
