Post subject:  Frakenlift Spring rate?

Ok so income tax return is going to almost cover the lift... I was going to get one sooner but hurricanes among other things delayed getting one.

So does the lift only use one type of spring or do you get to pick HD, med, or soft?

If you can pick my question is this... I had a 04 sport 4X2 before I bought the 05 renny and the suspension was a lot stiffer with less body roll than the renny. I liked that alot better than the mushy feel and body roll that I have now on the 05. keep in mine I had SR-A's on the 04 and I now have ST's on the 05 and will probably be putting on Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 245/75/16.

Based on that what springs would you guys recommend? I don't have any plans for a winch or ARB but I may do some towing (3000lbs)

You can get in any combo you like. I have the HD ones and no bumper or winch, but I have all the skids and bars and plan on a bumper eventually. It is nice and firm, but not jarring. I like it alot. However, I know with the HD springs and not much extra weight it can sit a little high for some people so you might want to also look at the MD springs. Give Quinn a call and tell him what you are looking to achieve. I'm sure he will point you in the right direction.

I also have the HD springs (no bumper, no winch, no skids, etc.), and my ride is a little too firm for me. If I had it to do over, I would try the medium springs. I agree with Eddo, give Quinn a call and tell him your situation.

I have the ome lift not the franken lift but it uses the same rear springs, I have the HD's back there and mediums up front, ride is awsome. Much, much better than stock. I would not get the hd's up front unless you were going to get a bumper, I might even get the Light duty fronts since the franken lift sits alittle high in the front any way.

Ive yet to tow with it yet, i dont tow 3k though. With the stock setup it did great with our little 2500lb boat, no sagging at all. I just went out and weighed the tongue weight and its 230lbs!! I never thought it was that much, I always figured around 150 or so, i guess its b/c the wheels are so far back on the trailer, this is only a 15ft boat.
