Hey guys i just got my rough country 3 inch lift on tonight. everything looks great, but when i went to drive it down the road it was just no good. it will go straight for a while just fine, and then will jerk to one side or another. and when i attempt to turn its almost like im driving on ice. has anyone experienced this, or have any idea what the problem is?

I just did a OME lift and JBA control arms on my today. You really can't drive the jeep until you get an alignment. Mine is doing the same thing, maybe not as extreme as yours because it's not as high. My wife said the tires look like they are about to fall over when I turned into the driveway.

I hope you are not planning to drive it between now and Tuesday. You would be amazed how much you can tear up those front tires driving with the alignment that much out even for a couple days.

Do the front tires look something like this:

This was after I went from a Rusty's lift to a Franken lift and Al Arms, had the same things going on, an alignment took care of it.

You will be fine for that distance. Just did not want you to drive 50-100 or more miles and then have to replace 2 tires too.

I was wondering about how much you could drive before your alignment. I plan to do mine on a Sunday with an alignment scheduled for Monday morning and take the day or half day off from work. Now if Uncle Sam would send my money! Been delayed twice already. :furious:

Just be careful driving it though. It will want to follow every line and groove in the pavement.

If he moves the LCA's to get the wheels back in line the springs will get even closer to the uca's.

Should be ok though.
