Thats in the plan too, it just seems like i keep getting it to run hotter with every mod, and I'd like to .bring that back down a bit. |

Well you know why you're running hotter don't you? More weight, larger/heavier tires etc After regearing mine came back down to normal runs cooler now than it did for quite a while Think about it, larger fan etc is a band aid |

The idiot gauge has been up higher and higher, when i took it to get my window regulator fixed the stealership said " your jeep is running hot, we can't figure out why though, everything is good" haha the mechanic i usually take the jeep to suggested that i might want to looking into some cooling type accessories to bring the temps down and help performance a bit. All in all it does seem like gears should happen first so that anything else can help supplement that other than just masking other problems |

You may have other issues if its running hotter, whats it at most times Could be a bad water pump, clogged radiator etc installing a larger fan may still not take care of an issue like that |

Did they make sure that your idiot gauge was working correctly? Based on what I see in your signature, I’m questioning why your Jeep is getting that hot. I have as much weight, if not more weight, then you do and I don’t have problems with overheating. I did take a UOA which showed that my engine is running hot, but my gauge isn’t showing it. If the idiot gauge is properly working, then perhaps your radiator is partially clogged or your water pump is starting to fail. Edit: Tom beat me to it.

Or a bad fan relay.... Especially those plastic ones.. Seen that happen before..

Once it heats up the needle on the gauge stays right at half way, before it always seemed to run one tick mark cooler, not sure if that's significant, and not really saying its overheating just running hotter than it used to which would be expected |

Okay, so you are experiencing temperature ranges that are most likely normal for your weight and oversized tire combination. Just make sure that you’re using quality oil and changing oil at 3,000 mile intervals. I wouldn’t run a longer interval unless you’re checking the condition of the oil with a UOA. |

Going to make the switch over synthetic here pretty soon! So what all do I need to order from Jj? As in filters, and oils? Also for sealing the diff do you guys use gaskets or rtv? |

Can anyone tell me the difference between a viair 400c and the 400h. Can the c be run without a tank until I get one just to fill tires, or can the 400h accept a tank later if I get one? |

Saw that and found out the 400h can't be used thanks! Would I only really get the c if I wanted to run air tools off a tank? I know that these compressors usually aren't sensitive enough to run arb lockers if they were ever in the plan. |

Pictures from Sunday afternoon wheeling!         Day ended after about an hour out because of a couple problems with the wj... first on a big flex he had a spring almost pop out, so we had to flex it again and get it back in... crisis averted (or so we thought) As soon as the spring popped back in fluid starts pouring out of the front, we thought it was radiator fluid, but turned out his left front tire was rubbing on the washer fluid reservoir and pulled the pump out. Then as if things weren't weird enough a tire blows as soon as the fluid stops leaking! It was something so weird that you had to be there to see it! |
