http://detoursusa.com/c3r.php Cool little product and could solve my porblem of no recovery points in the back...or front for that matter (brush guard = ) Do you guys see this as worth it or should I just save for a BA bumper rather than wasting it on these...

Good product if you have no intentions of installing a excellent quality bumper(s) such as Rock Lizard's or need them before installing said bumper

I really want to get a nice rear bumper and am trying to make plans to buy or have one fabbed by a shop during the summer. The way I see it is that those are 65 plus shipping and then theres the cost of the d rings... 100 or so that I could save hmmmm. I don't know |

typically good quality hitch inserts work well enough but hey, it's different, won't stop you |

JeepinJarhead03 wrote: typically good quality hitch inserts work well enough but hey, it's different, won't stop you I'm thinking the same thing....if you have a rear hitch then just get an insert with a D-ring or hook and you're good to go. Those recovery points only benefit that I can tell would be offering you different angles for recovery which isn't a bad thing, just don't know if it's worth it. I found a round tube style class III hitch in a local salvage yard for $50 and $11 for a hook insert at Harbor freight that's rated at 10K, so for $61 I got the whole setup. Look around your local junkyards and see what you might come up with. It sure helps stretch your budget. |

I have the backbone and love it. I had the winch in a hitch mount and it hung out too far! I modified the front hitch so that I have both up front. It really doesn't save on weight compared to an ARB, but it was half the cost. Also, the backdone has two spots for D-shackles. S |
