| Post subject: | Help installing CRD Frenkenlift |
Hi, i have just bought my lift for my KJ, it's a CRD Frankenlift and I have had it shipped over (it's sitting in my garage waiting). In 10 days more or less the garage should be able to fit it. In the mean time as they don't have any experiance in fitting one ( not many KJ getting lifted over here), I could do with some help to pass on to them to make sure thay fit it proparly. I am sure I have seen somewhere a post ( I can't find it ) with all the break down I can print and give them, please can someone point me in the right direction? With the CRD Frankenlift, I am also planning to fit Booiler 3/8 top plates (shims), clevis rings (nuts) x2 and at the back 2 top isolators ( if I need only one let me know) to even out the lift. I also have hockey puck 2 per side that i will install to avoid any more rubbing against the back doors trip i have been experiencing. Once I have fitted it I will post photos. Thank you for your help Fil. |

http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29193 The CRD will have some differences with taking the top 4 coilover retaining nuts off in the engine bay but otherwise the same install. |

Hi TjKj, Thank you for the information, the guide realy helped the garage fit the CRD Frankenlift. it's now on and settling in. I have also had the tracking done and the KJ now handles very nicely indead. Here are some photos: Before: ![]() Front: 17.5 in Back: 18.5 in After: I haven't measured yet I just what it to settle a bit. Also I will be changing my wheels back to 245/75R16, I have currently on 235/70R16 to pass my annual inspection. Thank you to all on Lost for the valuable information posted to help with deciding what lift to get in the end and how to set it up. Fil. |
