Post subject:  Lift or no lift?

I need you guys advice again. I finally collected all of the front end parts to rebuild the front suspension of my Girlfriend's 200+K Liberty. All of the parts are Moog. I bought both sets of ball joints and tie rods. I also bought new sway bar end links. I got them off of Amazon of all places. They beat my 20% discount at Advanced??? Any how now I'm debating on a lifting it. Rusty's had a good sale for a while on springs/struts/shocks. But now that I have the money the sale is over. So I've really been thinking about just buying Monroe preloaded struts, new rear shocks, and Moog springs and calling it a day.

So here's my question. It's not going to be a rock crawler. So I really don't need a high dollar lift. It's going to be a daily driver. So I'm more worried about reliability than rock crawling performance. Are there any problems with the front half shafts after a lift. I didn't lift my old Toy because of this problem. They actually lower the front rear so they don't bind and tear boots. I really don't feel like going through all of this work just to tear it apart again. What about spacer lifts? are the any good?
Thanks,

be real glad you did not buy Rustys, springs are rated same as stock and will sag quick, rear shocks are best thrown over the hill and never installed
Spacer lifts are junk pretty much :2cents:
Now with that said, Daystar is OK but only for newer vehicles. After 30-40,000 miles not worth it since your springs are already sagging.
Now for a DD, and can you lift safely. I know a lot of people who have a ton of miles on with no problems. My first full OME spring lift I took off after it had 100,000 miles on it. Many others have the same. I'm on my second lift, KJs has over 153,000 miles over 130,000 miles lifted
If you go with new springs go OME

Now would I install the Monroe preloads, No for several reasons, I like a better ride, I like a better handling vehicle than stock and I want some thing that will last for a while.
Lifts for a KJ are not expensive when compared to other makes, for 700-800 in parts you'll have a great lift with all of the benefits. Doesn't have to be a rock crawler, you want a better ride don't you?
