been doing a lot of research and i just want to make sure i understand everything correctly the jeep needs new tires before too long, and i figured i might as well lift it so i can get the tires i want. so the plan is... Frankenlift II premium extra rear iso's clevis lift ~3/8" i think? Maybe Strut plate spacers from Rusty's ?(overkill or no?) and i should be able to mount 245/75 R 16 tires (Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs) on my stock renegade rims just fine? possibly pound pinch weld/push foglight hatch forward or is a wheel with 4" backspacing required to get rid of rubbing? (cragar soft 8's) i would prefer to hold off on wheels until i can afford some nice alloys that i like. this will all be followed by some skid plates/rock rails so i can finally hit some trails like i have been wanting to do for the past 3 years when i first got it!

DON"T NEED; if using Frankenlift Clevis upper plates the above will make it too high and have severe CV angles/ spring-UCA contact now after you get 75-90,000 miles then you can add Do get; extra rear upper iso alignment right away rear bumpstops, 2 hockey pucks per side bolted through the spring pad may need to pound over the pinch weld You can mount 245-75-16s on the stock wheels Duratracs are good tires for sure, good choice |
